Concept

You have a new product or an idea for your new brand but you’re not sure how to execute the product design and taste. Contact our team in Neston to speak to your Account Manager or ask to speak to our Customer Service Sales team. We will explain the many flavour solutions on offer to you and how best to approach the project. If required, we can provide marketing support to suggest current market trends and which flavours may be of interest.

Flavour Development

From your initial chat with our team, your project will be passed onto the flavour team. At this stage, the Flavourists will review your requirements and design a flavour fit for your project brief.

Application Trials

After the flavour is deemed fit for your requirements, the Application team will collect your flavour and test the flavour in a finished product. You’re welcome to send us your base or we replicate a similar product. Once the Application department have approved this flavour, they will provide you with a dosage rate that will ensure you get the optimum flavour performance.

Samples

Once your flavour request has been completed by our NPD team, your Account Manager will get back in touch and send or present you with a selection of samples. This is where you can get a true feel for how your product would taste if brought to market.

Feedback

Once you have received your samples and your team have had a chance to taste, now is the time for you to either approve the submission or make some tweaks. We’re a very transparent business and open to feedback on our flavours. Our aim is to create a flavour truly suitable for your application so if we need to head back to stage 2 and redevelop the flavour, now is the time.

Order

If the flavour has been approved then your Account Manager will be in touch to discuss some commercials and details on how to move forward. You’ll be introduced to our efficient production planning department and begin your relationship with us here at JPL.
