Here at JPL we do not believe in sending you “off the shelf” samples resulting in you having the same flavour profile as everybody else. You need your product to stand out from the rest and our NPD team understand that which is why they will always advise on developing bespoke flavours specifically for your application.

How we work

Our process

One

Concept

You have a new product, or an idea for your new brand but you’re not sure how to execute the product design and taste. Contact our offices in Neston and ask to speak to your account manager or ask to be introduced to our sales department. The sales team will explain the many flavour solutions on offer for you.

Two

Flavour development

From your initial chat with an account manager or sales representative, your project will be passed onto the flavour team. At this stage the flavourists will review your requirements and design a flavour fit for your project.

Three

Application trials

After the flavour is deemed fit for your requirements, the application team will collect your flavour and test the flavour in a replica of your finished product. Once the application department have approved this flavour, they will provide you with a dosage rate that will ensure you get the optimum flavour performance.

Four

Samples

After your flavour request has been completed by our NPD team, your account manager will send or present you with some samples to choose from. This is where you can get a feel for how your product would taste if brought to market.

Five

Feedback

After your sample stage, it is likely that you will either look to approve the flavour or make some tweaks. Contact your account manager with your feedback and if tweaks are needed the account manager will revert back to stage two in the process.

Six

Order

If the flavour has been approved then your account manager will contact you with commercials and details on how to move forward. You will be introduced to our excellent production planning department and you will begin your relationship with us here at JPL.
