Butter flavours for Croissants

Vegan Croissants improved with Natural flavours

One of our most recent projects involves one of our bakery customers. Our NPD team were tasked with designing a vegan Croissant that could stand up in quality to a standard Croissant. Our bakery team designed a vegan pastry that was incredibly similar to a standard Croissant however the all important buttery taste was missing. Our flavourists designed a natural butter flavour that could be applied to the pastry so that it could deliver a strong authentic butter taste. On completion of the project our customer was satisfied that this new clean label, vegan option could stand up in quality to any non vegan counterparts.

How we did it

Design, refine & prosper

When requesting finished product development, our first port of call are our specialist application department. They will create an unflavoured product specific to your brief and once signed off, the product will be handed over to our flavourists. Our flavourists will then investigate your requirements and develop a flavour specific for your project and develop a bespoke solution for you. Once the flavour has been signed off, our applications department will create a flavoured finished product sample for your approval.
